I managed to make it through the entire easter break without getting dressed and leaving the house. The entire break was spent in trackies and old tee shirts (not the same ones though). Hurrah for sloth!
We have run out of regular coffee and managed to go through 2x as much milk as we usually do. Mr H bravely sacrificed his second cuppa this morning to make more froth for my (passable) cup of instant. He did ruin my enjoyment somewhat by describing what effect the instant coffee had when added to hot milk and frothed. (to quote "it didn't quite work, the coffee clumped together and looked like mouse turds floating in the froth. So I whipped it some more and it still looked like dags, so I had to add hot water and froth is some more.") He has such a way with words.
Took Ms Scarlet off to the vet on Saturday for her heartworm check, and while we were there we asked the vet about some little growthy thing on her chest, a rash under her arm and also mentioned the fact that she limps when she gets up from her naps. Left the vet with $250 of our ruddmoney and armed with a tube of cortisone cream (for her rash) advice on the growthy thingies (carbuncles, just like an old woman) and a standing appointment for the next three weeks so Ms Scarlet can get her shots for her arthritis.
With the addition of a handy dandy spray painter to Mr H's collection of tools, I have a new project. The kitchen cupboards, currently a shade of pink I refer to as "pussy pink" but is officially known as rose bisque, are to be repainted. By me. As I really am beginning to despise the look of the cupboards, I have a feeling this project will be finished sooner rather than later.
Once I get started, that is.
